Edgewater, New Jersey, is one of those places that just takes your breath away. The views of the Hudson River and the New York City skyline hit you the second you arrive, and Acqua Catering & Events is one of the best spots to take all of it in. As Daisy & David’s friend and go-to wedding photographer, I had the honor of capturing their day at this beautiful waterfront venue, and it truly delivered on every angle when it came to atmosphere, service, and that signature NYC energy without actually having to cross the river.
Acqua Catering & Events is easily one of New Jersey’s top wedding venues for couples who want sleek, elegant décor paired with panoramic views. The whole space is designed to feel modern and elevated while still being warm and inviting. And if you want to scope out the vibe beforehand, their Instagram shows off how the venue transforms for different weddings. From the moment the doors open to the moment you walk down the aisle, the Acqua Catering team is fully locked in on making sure your wedding feels personal, smooth, and unforgettable.
When I arrived on Daisy & David’s big day, the first thing that stood out was how intentional every detail was. Daisy is an insanely talented artist who creates handmade faux food jewelry and accessories — definitely check out her work at @pastryplug. She brought that same creativity into her wedding, designing the cake, crafting faux cupcake favors for every guest, and the cake-inspired centerpieces that held the table numbers. It all felt uniquely them while being thoughtful, playful, and filled with personality.
Once the ceremony wrapped, the reception jumped straight into an incredible spread of hors d’oeuvres and a stacked buffet lineup featuring sushi, meats, pasta, and so much more. The Acqua Catering team delivered a dinner that had everyone going back for seconds. The DJ kept the dance floor moving with a mix of classics and feel-good hits, and the whole night carried this fun, relaxed energy that made guests want to stay out there all night. Toward the end, Daisy & David shared a heartfelt joint speech thanking everyone — a moment that brought the room together and felt really special to witness. And for me, it meant even more knowing David has been the designer behind all my logos since 2020; photographing his wedding was truly full-circle.
Daisy & David’s wedding was the perfect example of what makes Acqua Catering & Events such a standout venue — stunning views, incredible food, thoughtful details, and a team that truly cares about the experience. It’s the kind of place where the skyline becomes part of your story and every moment feels a little bigger because of it. Their day was full of warmth, personality, and joy, all set against one of the best waterfront backdrops in New Jersey.
