Behind The Lens:

The New Jersey Wedding Photographer

Who Loves Love

You made it.
And I’m genuinely stoked you’re here.

I’m Donovan — a New Jersey wedding photographer based in Bergen County, documenting love stories for couples who want their day to feel true to them. Unfiltered, a little wild, and full of heart.

I don’t just show up with a camera. I show up for you — ready to document the big emotions, the laughter, the energy, and all the in-between moments that make your story yours. My goal is simple: make sure you feel supported, taken care of, and completely present while everything unfolds around you.

From getting ready in the calm of the morning to two-steppin’ well into the night, I’ve got you covered. Weddings move fast and rarely go exactly according to plan, which is why I pride myself on being adaptable and ready for whatever the day brings — stepping in when things get chaotic, keeping things flowing naturally, and making sure you never feel like you’re stuck in a photoshoot.

You’ll look incredible, you’ll feel even better, and you’ll walk away with a wedding gallery that doesn’t just show the day — it brings you right back to it.

I love love. And I love even bigger. Nothing fires me up more than documenting real, raw connection in its truest form — the kind of moments that make a wedding feel unforgettable.

Every story, every culture, every kind of love - all of it deserves to be celebrated and documented exactly as it is.

I’m a traveling wedding photographer documenting love stories wherever they unfold — from city rooftops to quiet beaches and everywhere in between. Home base is Bergen County, New Jersey, but my passport and cameras are always packed and ready to go. Rooftop parties, island vows, backyard magic — wherever the celebration happens, I’ll be there with my camera and my heart wide open.

Let’s create the kind of memories that will still be getting passed around the family long after the day is over.

And remember: make your own rules. Break all of them. Just don’t forget — your day, your way. Anybody who feels different can step to the left.

 Some facts about me

Dog dad

Aries, the god of war, is my gorgeous crazy mush of a pittie. 12 years old and not a single old bone in his body. Loves cuddling, sleeping, walkies and of course, snackies, preferably mine. Favorite foods include: anything that falls off my plate and literally everything haha

adventurous

You’re prob thinking “This guy is wild, I like it!” To be completely fair, I did NOT plan on it but I did plan on doing some crazy sh*t while I was out there and that just happened to be the craziest thing I’ve done in my entire life. I’m a spontaneity adrenaline junkie and love going with a vibe. The vibe was just right in Kauai, Hawaii to jump out of a plane because when’s the next time I’ll ever have that chance? So if you’re thinking you got some wild sh*t you wanna do on your epic day, chances are I’m right behind you with my camera in hand!

polaroid & Film lover

No matter what, I always got that thang on me. My vintage 1990s Polaroid and a film camera to sprinkle that extra razzle dazzle on your big day! Instant gratification and zero wait time for the polaroids :)

Take A Sneak Peek Into My Life

Yerrrrr—you really made it this far?

I love that for us already. Since we’re here, let me properly introduce myself and give you a glimpse into the human behind the lens.

Before photography, there was music. My first love and forever muse. From DJing in my bedroom to DJing a packed dance floor in Brooklyn, NYC, music has always been a huge part of who I am—and it always will be. My Spotify Wrapped 2025 tells the whole story, but that’s a conversation best saved for your session so you can see the range of music I listen to and love.

Music is always playing somewhere—whether it’s through my speakers as I’m typing this, in my headphones while I’m editing your gorgeous wedding gallery, or blasting in my ears while I’m on a flight to somewhere new but mainly warm. Traveling has become a huge part of how I stay inspired, and Puerto Rico will always hold a special place in my heart. It means time with my Mama (grandma), reconnecting with family, and returning to the island that continues to push me to strive for more every day.

When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m usually chasing experiences. Snowboarding in the winter, rollerblading when the weather’s right or hiding out in the woods at my trailer reconnecting with nature.

I’m also big on the simple pleasures. Slow mornings. Buttery popcorn with one of my favorite comfort movies—sometimes a rewatch for the hundredth time. Wandering into a new restaurant to see what the hype is about, or trying a recipe I found on Instagram. Yes, I’ve fully gone down the chef route, and I absolutely love it. Lately I’ve been leaning into trying new things and rediscovering parts of myself through it all.

Turns out falling back in love with life—and with yourself—is a pretty damn powerful thing.

Family is the center of everything for me. My three nephews and my little sister constantly remind me to stay present, stay playful, and soak in the little moments. The photo above of my mom and nephews is the last picture they took together before they moved away to Texas, which is exactly why I’m a firm believer in always. taking. the. picture.

My little sister brings a whole new kind of joy into my life since I always dreamed of having a younger sister. My parents, my older brother, and my pittie Aries are my anchors. My dad especially is the blueprint for the man I’ve become. The lessons he’s given me follow me everywhere I go—into every room I walk into, every photo I take, and every story I’m trusted to tell.

Life’s way too short not to love hard and live fully. That’s the same energy I bring when I photograph your wedding day. It’s never just about snapping photos—it’s about honoring the people, places, and moments that make your story yours.

Now go see what some of my incredible couples have said about working together.
